Intro
Well, I suppose I should start this thing…
A little bit about me (in case you haven’t looked at the “About Me” pages already – you should!)
My name is Jennifer
I have a wonderful husband & 2 beautiful kids
and a business (or 3)
I like food
I am sarcastic (who, me?)
I say what I think
I tend to drive certain individuals nuts – it’s fun
I am getting more active in the organic/environment/protect our earth & kids front
it drives certain individuals* nuts, however I am beginning to win them over
I hate corn syrup – especially the high fructose version that the manufacturers are pumping into us & our children at an alarming rate. There will be more on this topic.
I advocate eating locally grown produce – find a CSA farm & get your produce there (it really does taste better!)
I love Indian food, Asian food, seafood, Greek food, Italian food (are we noticing a trend here?)
I have recently become a bit more green – I am carrying a reusable cloth grocery bag when I go shopping – yes, even at the mall. Do I get looks about it? Yes. Do I annoy some clerks, most likely. Do I feel better because I’m doing something to preserve the earth for my kids? ABSOLUTELY!
We also buy our electricity via a program that gets energy from wind farms – just doing our part.
I used to be blissfully ignorant about many things – I think my dear husband misses those days. Now I label read & don’t allow certain “bad foods” into our house. And I talk about it – I think my SIL is getting weary of these things.
I also sew.
I like fabric, and I like making things with my hands.
I hate being told what to do, so I rarely use a pattern, although occasionally that is a necessary evil.
I pray… a lot.
Some days much more than others – I do have kids after all!
Over time I will post more things that tell you about me… for now this is enough to give you a glimpse into the author of this little corner of the ‘sphere.
