One Word – Healthy

One Word. What is that? It’s a chance to look at where you are right now & think about where you want to be a year from now. Is there a single word that can encompass that desire? Is there a single word that can help keep you focused on that goal? Something that is easy to remember, and can spur you on when you get discouraged?

My One Word for 2013 is HEALTHY.

I know, it sounds like the typical “I’m tired of this unhealthy body & want to make some changes” because THAT always works, right?

But that’s not the focus. Well, not the only one anyway.

Healthy. Not just health, but healthy. Healthy body, yes. But also healthy relationships. Building healthy relationships with my girls. With my past. With my future. With friends – current, former and future.

Having a healthy perspective on where God has me right now and on what He has brought me through.

Having a healthy balance. Work, play, family, self, finances… balance.

Building up a healthy appetite for God – His word, His presence, HIM. Seeking him daily. Not just reading a few verses, but truly seeking and spending time in His presence.

This is what “healthy” means to me right now. Physically, mentally, spiritually.

And yes, I plan to “pick up where I left off” with exercise. Sounds so much better than “start over again” doesn’t it?
